Sharing the Powertex love in February!
Ah, February – the month of love! It’s an exciting month for Artistic ReTreats as I’ll be sharing my love of Powertex at different venues for new audiences, including my slightly nail-biting TEDx talk on 29th February at St Mary’s in Banbury.
I’ve also been thinking ahead to Mother’s Day next month (22nd March) and how I can share my love and appreciation for mine and other mums! With all the gift vouchers that I’ve created and sent out lately, I hope that lots of mothers might be treated to a Powertex workshop or some exciting products to try out soon!
If you live in the Midlands, it would be wonderful to take your mum to my Masterclass in the beautiful setting of Lamport Hall on 7th March to create a wonderful figure sculpture.
Most mums don’t really expect lavish, expensive gifts and treats, a lie-in, breakfast in bed or a relaxing bubble bath are cherished by lots of mothers. When thinking of ways to spoil your mum on Mother’s Day, bear in mind that many mothers simply love the gift of time – either time for her or quality time with you, especially if you don’t see her very often.
Make something together
Creating a piece of art is good for the soul and great for our mental health. Would your mum like to reconnect with her inner artist and get stuck into a Powertex project at one of our relaxed workshops? If your mum would like to try out a new craft – why not check out our list of workshops and choose one that she might enjoy, or better still come together for some truly quality time learning a new skill or experimenting with a new medium.
Create an ART@Home experience
Would your mum love to spend some quality time with you, your siblings and other family members? You could spend a wonderful day creating a beautiful piece of art, in the comfort of your own home with ART@Home. We come to you, provide all the materials and tailor a package to suit your needs. Working with Powertex and lots of recycled natural materials, we create amazing indoor or outdoor sculptures with unique textures and finishes.
