Powertex is a versatile, environmentally friendly, acid free, water based textile hardener which air dries and becomes rock hard. Our transparent fabric hardener is perfect for use with print fabrics where you want your finished piece of art to incorporate the original fabric design.
Dip natural fibre textiles in Powertex, wring out well and wrap or drape it around a frame, object or armature to create amazing art and crafts, sculpture & jewellery. Once dry, pieces can be dry brushed with our beautiful range of pigments coupled with our Easy Varnish.
Powertex can also be used to create fabulous mixed media canvases or mix with our Stone Art to form an air-drying clay for use in sculpture & art pieces.
The 5Kg bottle is recommended for very big pieces of art, regular use or workshops.
Please note that the Transparent Powertex Fabric Hardener is the only one in the range that does NOT dry to a weather resistant finish & therefore we do not recommend Transparent for outdoor use.
