Course Information

During the course, students will create a sculpture from recycled textiles & Powertex art products, suitable for outdoor display once dry. We will cover a number of techniques including making an armature, material selection, dry wrapping, wet wrapping, & mixing/dry brushing with pigments. The course is ideal for beginners, new to Powertex. Students will discover creative talents they didn't know they had with this exciting & versatile medium. Examples of other projects that can be achieved using Powertex will be available to view during the course for inspiration. NOTES FOR STUDENTS Preparation for this Course: Please: • Bring old clothes to work in • tie up long hair • remove rings & bracelets Protective aprons & gloves will be supplied.
